Help Out
Maryland Neighborly Networks has been providing residential services in Prince George's County for over 16 years. We are a small, private, non-profit agency and have been dedicated to individualized services since our inception. We currently operate in ten homes, serving a total of 30 people. Due to financial changes within the State payment system, we are currently expanding, but we are growing in small, manageable amounts and will grow only to the point where we can remain financially comfortable throughout this period of change and into the forseeable future. It has always been our practice to view each potential service recipient as a unique individual. We try to match that person with one or two other compatible persons and find a home for those persons that is as close as possible to places of employment or daytime activity. If individuals desire to live close to family members, we take that into consideration when searching for a home. We have always included people in the purchasing of furniture and decorations for their home. Individuals have always been encouraged and assisted in developing and maintaining relationships with friends and family members. The people who use Networks' services have always had a voice and have always been encouraged to exercise their right to make informed choices. The concept of individualized choice is not a new one at Networks. It may be the latest "craze" in the D.D.A. system, but it has been a matter of day-to-day life at Networks for more than a decade. Our administrators are experienced professionals whose values and hearts are in what we consider to be "the right place". They have been in this field of employment for many years and have remained committed to Networks. Jennifer Knoll is the Executive Director and Founder of the agency. She has 26 years in the field of developmental disabilities and has been at Netwoks since its beginning. Our Director has been in the field for 29 years and has worked at with Networks for over 15 years. Our Program Assistant has been with us for over 14 years and has worked in the field of developmental disabilities for 23 years. If you are interested in talking with us about Networks' program, please call our office or send a fax. Our numbers and email contact form are on the Contact Us page.

It is quite possible that you have never heard of our agency. That is because we don't spend our time and money advertising what we do. We put our energies toward serving the men and women in our program. We are proud of our history of service and commitment.
